AARP TAX ASSISTANCE

Tax season is upon is now and AARP Tax volunteers will be helping Mallard Run Residents on the following Tuesdays in March from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM:

  • March 4
  • March 18
  • March 25
A signup sheet is posted on the first floor community bulletin board to the left of the mail room.  Please sign for the date which is most convenient to you.
It is also very important for residents to have their personal financial records ready and available for the tax volunteer.  The Pennsylvania Rent Rebate form (PA-1000) requires a form to be completed by the landlord.  Residents must turn the blank form in to the Rental Office to have the form completed.  Before you attend your appointment for tax assistance, please have the completed landlord affidavit form in your possession.  The tax assistant can not help you complete the remainder of the application without the information from the completed Landlord Affidavit form.

Winter Weather Procedures

Snow removal will begin at the site when the storm ends or the following morning.  If a storm ends at 5:00 PM, staff will begin snow removal in the morning.  We do not want anyone to slip and fall. If you are aware of our policy, it should help you to determine if the time is right to go out.

Our property is large and we cannot get every area done at one time.  Someone will be first and someone will be last.  Please be patient with us during winter weather events and snow removal.  It is physically hard on the staff to clear the entire property and make it safe.   Your patience is very much appreciated.

Our staff cannot clean off or move your car.  Please do not ask them to do this.  We ask that you do not start moving around until we have the opportunity to clear and treat the walks and streets.
